UCF provides free overdose treatment spray that could save lives

Narcan, also known as Naloxone, is a nasal spray form of the medicine used to counteract a "known or suspected opioid overdose" in an emergency situation, according to the official Narcan website. The opioid drug class consists of drugs such as heroin, fentanyl and prescription pain relievers, according to the National Institute on Drug Abuse.
